Level Guideline: age as of August 2026​

Ages 18-24 Months: Creative Movement Class

Ages 3-4 Years Old:  3/4 Year Old Combo and/or Intro Classes for 3-4 year old

5 Years Old:  5/6/7 combo and/or Intro Classes for 5-7 year old

6 Years Old: Either Level 1 (dancers with previous experience and teacher recommendation) or 5/6/7 Combo and Intro Classes for 5-7 year old (parent decides)

7 Years Old: Either Level 1 (dancers with previous experience) or 5/6/7 Combo and Intro Classes for 5-7 year old (parent decides)

8-9 Years Old and Up: Dancers start in Level 1. Returning BSDA students receive placement sheets at the end of each season. NEW to BSDA? Contact the front desk about setting up a placement class to determine the correct level for you.
